Brandon Miller's agents said he has agreed to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale extension with the Charlotte Hornets, a deal the team has not announced.

Charlotte, which traded away LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, is giving the 23-year-old forward a bigger role in his fourth season.

Miller, the second pick in the 2023 draft behind Victor Wembanyama, averaged a career-high 20.2 points and 4.9 rebounds last season and made 38.3 percent of his 3-point attempts in 65 games. He played only 27 games the season before. He and Kon Knueppel led a second-half push that took Charlotte to the play-in tournament, where it lost its second game.

He had surgery in May to stabilize his shoulder and has played in the preseason since.

The extension begins with the 2027–28 season and runs through 2031–32. Charlotte plays its first game on October 21 at Brooklyn.
